Your First Visit & Regular Checkups

Dr. Poyak always begins a new patient exam with a discussion to learn about your concerns, goals, and expectations. You and he will discuss your dental experiences and why you came to our office. The more we know about your feelings toward dentistry, the better we can serve you.

At your first exam and six-month checkups, expect a comprehensive assessment of your teeth, gums, and bite. Dr. Poyak will ask you how you feel about your teeth and what you want to accomplish through dentistry. We will take digital photographs, X-rays, and examine each tooth in your mouth. With his findings, Dr. Poyak can show and explain your oral health status, and then recommend treatment. He will help you understand your situation and respect your decisions for care. We never want finances or fear to stand in the way of our patients' optimal oral health, so we will gladly talk with you about payment options and sedation.
